CTAEX – CENTRO TECNOLÓGICO NACIONAL AGROALIMENTARIO

CTAEX, is a business association of Agricultural and Food research, which aims to improve the competitiveness of companies in this sector, through research, innovation and transfer of results.
A Technology Center of national reference in the agri-food sector, based on the principles of quality and with a marked innovative character, which develops flexible actions in alliance with other public and private agents of the Science-Technology-Business system. In 2004 it was recognized by the Interministerial Commission of Science and Technology (CICYT) as a Technology Center with the number 80, as well as a Research Results Transfer Office (number 189).
The services offered at CTAEX are very diverse, focused on its five strategic lines of research:
o Minimally processed food preservation techniques.
o Development of new food products.
o Healthy Foods. Improvement of the characteristics of traditional foods.
o Optimization of agricultural systems.
o Valorization of wastes, by-products and extracts of aromatic and medicinal plants.
